The water was this deep in the studio when Gary got hom

Gary Spykman was out of town when heavy rains and subsequent flooding in Keene, New Hampshire in October of 2005 put his furniture making studio 21 inches under water. Family, friends, and colleagues assisted with the clean-up and salvage that was hampered by 2 additional, lesser floods that followed in quick succession. Moving quickly and decisively immediately after the flood waters subsided, Gary was able to get back to work in time to take advantage of a large commission for which he had done a proposal before the flood.

Gary shared his experiences in an interview conducted in his studio in March of 2009.
